Thanks to davethejew for the Walken Graphic!!

Q. Can I help count films for the site?

A. Yes, but please do the following first...
  1. Check to see if the film is already on the site...
  2. Check if it has been counted and in the queue...
  3. Review the formats for other films that have been counted...
  4. DO NOT JUST POST A RECOUNT OF A FILM YOU FEEL IS INCORRECT. PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING FIRST...
    1. Review counting Guidelines for this site...
    2. Post a thread on the Corrections & Disputes Board about your concerns
    3. If you post your count into someone else's thread or start a new thread on counting boards it WILL BE deleted.
  5. If a film you would like to count is not yet listed either on site or in the queue please feel free to count it based on the site's Guidelines and use a format style similar to those of other counters. Counts not following this will not be used and/or deleted.
  6. If you are confused please do not do a count first but join the board to get a feel for what is required. (totals, characters, formatting...)

Q. I do not like or agree with the Guidelines you use to gather your totals. Will you use my criteria instead?

A. No-can-do but feel free to begin your own body count website. I would love the competition. - JenGe

"Frequently Asked Questions" about Movie Body Counts, how the numbers are tallied, & other aspects of the site.

Q. Why are planets, planes, explosions...not listed on the site?

A. We count only physically visible, "on screen" kills/bodies in a film.  Nothing that is hypothetical or off-screen is counted in the final tallies.  A body/kill MUST be shown on screen in some form to be included as a "body count" on this site. See the site's Counting Guidelines...

Q. Why is (insert film title) not yet listed on the site?

A. We have a handful of people who count the films but only one to create all the needed pages. The site is still young and films are being added as fast as we can. Please check the films already counted but waiting in the QUEUE here

Q. Why do your counts differ from other counts on the internet or on films themselves (IE: Hot Shots! Part Deux)?

A. We use a specific Guideline for the counts on this site (mostly "on screen kills") that other sites or films may not use. Also note that many movies claiming to be high body count films turn out actually not to be when limited to only their "on screen kills" (IE: RoboCop...)

Q. I get a different count when I do a film than what you list. Are your counts accurate?

A. Yes, by the Guidelines of this site they are accurate. The problem is there are many ways to count films opening ANY count up to subjectivity. Some sites will include "mentioned" or "off screen" kills while others will exclude what they judge to be "knock-out" hits. If a hit is a "knock-out" or an actually "kill" often is purely subjective and really at the discretion of those counting the films.
